Marcus Molinaro : A Life in Politics

“Everyday somebody called and had some problem and I was their way of solving it.”

Marc Molinaro is a man who has given his entire career to public service, and there are no signs of slowing down.  At the age of 18, Marc Molinaro was elected to the Board of Trustees in Tivalli, a year later he became mayor, and proceeded to be re-elected five times, and was elected four times to the Dutchess County Legislature.  At 36 years old Molinaro was elected as Dutchess County’s 7th County Executive, the youngest executive in county history.

Marist’s Ethical Fashion Initiative Club, Changing the World One Garment at a Time.

As of 2017 The Business of Fashion has ranked Marist Fashion Program as 38th globally in their annual ranking of fashion schools, but how much are these students learning about the ethical aspect of fashion.  In 2016, alumni Rebekkah Coclasure started her senior year of college with one goal in mind, to startup the Ethical Fashion Initiative Club.  By the end of her senior year she had succeeded, but has anyone stopped to wonder where are they now?  With that stood other looming questions, what have they done for ethical fashion and where are they headed for the future?

The Newest Voices on Campus- The Enharmonics

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — For several years Marist College’s Music Department has only had two a capella groups on campus, The Lovely Sirens for women, and Time Check for the men. However, when Gigi Figueroa had the idea of creating a co-ed group at Marist she quickly made this a reality and thus, The Enharmonics was born.

Inside the Bardavon Education Series

Walking down Main Street in Poughkeepsie you see a multitude of buildings, but one building, tore out of a beautiful 1868 theater, that stands out amongst the rest. Originally the Collingwood Opera House, the Bardavon has been home to a variety of events, and for the last 30 decades, they’ve been educating those that want to know more. The classic outdoor structure beautifully matches its interior, as though it was straight out of a movie.
